Standing over looking Back Lane, this impressive Elizabethan manor house was demolished in the 1960s and replaced by St Mary's Court in 1972 - it's orchard by St Mary's Close - locals remember scrumping for apples in the orchard as children!

Handley Primitive Methodist chapel the previous Methodist meeting place on the site was destroyed in the fire of 1892. After rebuilding, it served until 1979 and is now a private residence.
